United Genetics provides the basic requirements for healthy vegetable seeds for farmers to be confident of the high seed quality for their crops.
United Genetics has been accredited by the U.S. National Seed Health System (NSHS), under the authority of the USDA, Animal and Plant Health Inspection Service (APHIS), and in accordance with 7 CFR 353.8 and 7 CFR 353.9 to perform the following function at the Hollister, CA facility. This activity may be used to substantiate the issuance of a Federal Phytosanitary Certificate:
Seed health testing for the following crops:
- Capscicum annuum (pepper) for the pathogens:
- Pospiviroids (CLVd, PCFVd, PSTVd, TASVd, TCDVd, and TPMVd)
- Tobamovirus (PMMoV, TMV, ToMV) (effective 5/1/2023)
- Tomato brown rugose fruit virus
- Xanthomonas spp. (effective 10/31/2023)
- Cucurbitaceae for the pathogens:
- Acidovorax citrulli (ISHI method) (effective 7/19/2023)
- Cucumber green mottle mosaic virus (effective 1/6/2023)
- Melon necrotic spot virus (effective 1/6/2023)
- Squash mosaic virus (effective 1/6/2023)
- Solanum lycopersicum (tomato) for the pathogens:
- Clavibacter michiganensis ssp. michiganensis (effective 10/31/2023)
- Pospiviroids (CLVd, PCFVd, PSTVd, TASVd, TCDVd, and TPMVd)
- Pseudomonas syringae pv. tomato (effective 10/31/2023)
- Pepino mosaic virus (effective 5/1/2023)
- Tobamovirus (TMV, ToMV) (effective 5/1/2023)
